La Cabana: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Venice, CA

Delicious old-school Mexican restaurant with a long and storied history, massive classic margaritas, tuxedoed waiters and table side guac. Excellent Plata de Carnitas and house made tortillas. Remodel looks great, with a new bar. They're open until 3:00 a.m. and I believe we need to support restaurants that stay open late. LA doesn't have enough of them.

I appreciate integrity. I was looking at my receipt from a recent dinner and noticed my math was incorrect. What should have been a one in the hundreds place I erroneously made a 2, essentially paying an extra $100 after the tip. Upon cross referenced against my bank statement, I found La Cabana had corrected my math and billed the correct amount. Not only is the food outstanding, it's served by good people. Thank you, La Cabana, I can't wait to get back down there for another visit.

One of my favorite Mexican places in the area. Great basics like chips and salsa, margs, guacamole, rice and beans, etc. Quesadillas and Burritos are the best main dishes. On top of it all the service is always excellent and it's a lovely restaurant!

I've been coming here since I was in High School and it is my "go-to" Mexican restaurant on the westside! I love the home/hand made corn tortillas! The food is delicious! It also has great drinks (if i don't have to drive). The service is great. The inside is dimly lit and cozy with an Adobe style of building.

In my opinion, this is the best Mexican food in the city I usually get it to go, but sometimes I do dine in and both experiences are awesome When I get it to go, they are ready within 10 to 15 minutes and that's even when I'm ordering for two people They made a mistake they go above and beyond to correct it They rarely make a mistake Bean and cheese burrito. It is honestly so big that I will get two meals out of it if not more. The guacamole is out of this world And the shrimp tacos are my favorite. I get them flour whatever sauce they use is addicting. Love love love this place. They also have a cute patio like area.

Great authentic Mexican food, delicious margaritas, & an awesome patio vibe - what more could you want? Food - delicious authentic Mexican with extensive menu options for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Classic margaritas are made perfectly & so easy to end up ordering quite a few of them! Loved my garlic butter shrimp entree - it was delicious. Service - such kind, fun servers here - definitely a family restaurant vibe! Food came out quickly & we were seated right away, despite it being Cinco de Mayo. Ambiance - both indoor & outdoor seating, with a fabulous patio decorated with bright colors & art! Such a fun atmosphere, even during the more low key hours. We weren't there for it but I also know that they have Mariachi playing from the roof regularly. La Cabana is a great local option for authentic Mexican in the Venice area & will absolutely be going back for the food & the margaritas!
